Hervé Gaillet
Hervé Gaillet is a novelist and blogger. He has published five detective novels in which the writer Pierre Benoit takes on the role of an amateur detective in a novelistic way ( Derrière les lignes – 2017 Prix AlterPublishing 2017; Une Belle pour le Solilloque – 2019, Code Ancolie – 2020, Pierre Benoit mène l'enquête and Pierre Benoit face au crime – 2023). He is a member of the Association des Amis de Pierre Benoit and regularly contributes to its annual Cahiers.
Hervé Gaillet won the 2021 Pierre Benoit Prize from the Académie française for his book Pierre Benoît , also published by AlterPublishing in November 2020.
Hervé Gaillet - The fifth short story
1928, Alexis Laville-La tour arrives in Paris to study and becomes friends with a librarian at the Sorbonne. But his life changes when he tries to prevent the murder of his friend by a mysterious organization and finds himself threatened. Alexis will gradually discover the identity and objectives of his enemies and, from Paris to Kashmir via Santorini and Alexandria, he will unravel the mystery of the information he holds in spite of himself to understand, at the risk of his life, the nature and scope of the "Fifth News".
