Pascal-Henri Poiget - The Dream of Joan of Arc
Jeanne is sixteen years old. She falls asleep and dreams. First of all about her next life, her possible loves and her destiny all mapped out. But, in her dream, she will dialogue with strange characters: a man of the church, a politician, a musician, a writer and a historian.
Thanks to them, she discovers her future. Doubting her voices, she sees images of her future life, which these curious men will show her and explain to her. She also sees and hears the works of the main artists she will inspire, throughout the centuries to come.
Hypocrisy, selfishness and pride will confront love, duty and death. Between the individual and the collective, the profane and the sacred, the human and the divine, she will have to choose. Even if, as her future motto states, " God first served. "
